Going to the Temple

Today was such a good day! JT and I had a day off together, so we went up to the Orlando Temple for the first time, it was beautiful! But to my despair, after we drove 5 hours to get there and we were ready to walk in... I realized I forgot my dang recommend!! I wanted to shoot my face off (jt told me my face was to pretty to shoot off, so I decided against it) But luckily after an hour and a half of me crying in the car, and walking around the temple grounds, our Bishop called us back, and talked to the temple president and let us in! YEAH!! It was so nice to go again, I havent been since we were married! I loved it! We went to a nice restaurant called seasons 52 afterwards, it was a nice date!

I hate having sweet blood!

So My good friend, Anne Marie and I went to a wedding right after thanksgiving. It was held at the Naples Botanical Gardens. It was really beautiful, and weather was pefect. We stayed for an hour or so, mingled with familiar faces for a bit and just had a good time until it was time to go. That following evening, My legs went out of control with itching at work... It was awful... I pulled up my pant legs thinking I had some kind of Virus or AIDS or something! Ha! I literally had at least 100 bites on each leg. I have never seen my legs look so nasty! I came to church sunday thinking Anne Marie must be just as eaten alive as me!! She received many bites as well, but I think I won the freaking golden ticket on this one! She informed me that Florida has these awful mini mosiquitos called "Nosee'ms" because you literally cannot see them. Non the less, I will always have hatred in my heart for nosee'ems!

sisters

2 Of my sisters came down to Naples to see JT and I. We had so much fun. I was glad to let them see our first home together, the gorgeous city we live in. There is nothing better than family~!!

Birthday!!

So, it was JT's birthday on the 9th, he had to work during the day, but when he got off work, we went to Ted's Montana Grill, and the food was really great. We don't have loads of money to spend so I had to be creative with gift giving... so we went home, and I made him stay in the office while I put together my home made spa/steam room. He LOVES going to spa's and just sitting in the steam room is like his favorite things ever... ?? Wierd, I know, but it is what he likes... So I went to the store and bought dry ice and put bowls of hot water all around the bathroom, and put the dry ice in, and they the steam turned out SOOOO good... I was happy with it.. The bathroom was FULL of steam, it didn't photograph well but it was way awesome, plus my hubby was naked, so couldnt get too detailed with the pics! :) If anyone does this at home, take note that dry ice puts out some kind of chemical, and made us kinda loopy, and high..not so good.

I also made him a cake, and I am not good at making beautiful things, so I thought I would just get creative, and I made a cake and just stuck his favorite things on top... like q-tips, listerine, chapstick, his nasty brush he cannot live without, dr pepper... so on and so on.. so in conclusion, the day was a success.

So, I haven't been on my blog for a while, but I really wanted to post about a baptism in our ward. JT had the opprotunity to baptize Daniel, a great guy from Nigeria. I have never seen a baptism besides an 8 year old. So for one, it was so awesome to see such a cool guy accept the gospel, and get baptized, but it was even cooler to see my husband baptize him. I never want to forget that experience. The Sister Missionaries in our ward are so awesome. I like 'em

Just looking out for my future

So, I am so sick and tired of thinking about my weight!!!!....!!!!!! The thing is, is I know that I am not a fatty McFatterson or anything, but I just keep climbing the scale, and after I have kids, I will look sick! My boobs will look like lemons hanging in the bottom of tube socks, and my arms will hang and be as thick as my thighs and accumulate just as much cellulite.
If I was dedicated to working out, I would be pretty smokin, I think that I have a pretty face, but boy, when I see myself naked... we won't go there. So my sister and I were talking about some motivating ways to drop a few sacks of potatoes... How crazy does this sound... I ate a whole box of hoe hoe's in one day, except for one... I came home from my lunch shift and my hubby ate the last one. Which he is entitled to since his ham of a wife ate the rest, but can I tell you how disapointed I was! I was looking forward to that dang hoe hoe my whole lunch shift.. Does this make me a fatty mcFatterson?

Vulgar Aunt Kenzie

So when my niece Brie turned 8, she flew out to Georgia from Utah. I love this little girl so much.. so one night, I took her shopping and said she could pick out any toy she wanted under $20. She was really into these "Bratz Catz" and so she got one of those, and personally, I think they are ugly and lame, but whatever she likes... So on the drive home, she asks me "Kenzie, what do you think I should name my new Bratz cat?
I replied saying "I love the name Anus!! You should totally name her Anus!" She being so sweet and eight years old said "Anus is such a cute name!! I love it! It fits her!" I was laughing so hard!! Telling her the reason for my laughter was because of how cute she is, and she makes me happy... She continued playing with her Cat, and saying the word, or her name, Anus over and over. "Anus, what would you like to do?.... you are such a good kitty Anus. I can't wait for my family to meet you Anus."
I got back home to my sister Laurie's house in Georgia where Brie and I both were staying at the time. She ran inside overly excited to show Aunt Laurie her new Bratz Catz. Laurie said, "Oh, Brie, she is way darling, what did you name her? "
"Anus!" Saying it like she just knew Laurie would love how different, and creative it was.
Laurie started laughing really hard, and yelled "KENZIE!!!!" Brie kept asking, "What are you laughing at? What does it mean? " We told her, and she thought it was pretty funny, but was confused at me on why I would have her name her cute little cat after a Butt hole.

I was talking to Brie last night, and she was telling me the story, and she remembered everything. I feel guilty now, but when you think about it, Anus is a medical term, it is better then naming your cat butt hole

So I finally got my Wedding Video, and my pictures.... I feel like a little girl cause I watch my video over and over again... JT always catches me watching it. Like when I can't sleep at night, or when we are working together on cleaning the house, I am in the computer room, watching it again and again. He use to laugh at me and think that I was cute, but now I am not so sure... haha.
I loved this day, and I am so thankful that I got the video because it is so hard to remember details... Everyone was right when they told me that the day goes by so fast, and it is kind of a blur when you think back on.
I am trying to figure out what I want to do with my pictures. If I want to scrapbook it on my own, have a professional do it, or just order prints to have?? I don't know.

When he loves something...

So.. After being married, it is funny when you find out funny things and habits about your spouse. I had these pajama pants from victoria's secret that were way too short, but I wanted to keep them cause they were so comfortable, so I cut the legs off to be knee length. But I did a horrible job, and they are all jagged and uneven. They look like pirate pants or something. Any way, I haven't seen them forever, and I begin to notice JT wearing them on a regular basis. I say to him "You do realise those are my pants, and they are from Victoria's secret!?" He doesn't care. They are now his favorite item. He loves nothing more than to come home from work, take a shower, grab some grub, play his computer games, and go comando in my Victoria Secret pj's for the next hour. I will also mention that he gets mad if I wear them. They are now his. It makes me laugh cause he really wears them every single day. It use to be this bright orange county jail shirt, with the sleeves ripped off, arm pit stains and all! He would go running in it, and mow the lawn.

Super Hip Family

I was really blessed to have such a cool family. I love my parents so much, and my siblings are all gorgeous, and there cool. But mostly, I am just glad they are good looking. That would be so embarrassing if they were ugly. (I am totally kidding) My sisters are like my best friends in the world.
Some would say that growing up in a messy home, sharing a room with 3 other people, hand-me-downs, and having to share the tub with 6 other sisters may not be fabulous, but when you dont know any different, and when you have best friends to play with 24/7, that is pretty cool. Sometimes they would get mad when I would sneak in there room, and eat all there hidden snacks, and steal there clothes, and stretch them out... But in my eyes, they are lucky. I wish I had a chubby little sister that admired everything I did.

The Honeymoon

So we went on a cruise to the bahamas and Key West for the honeymoon. It was great, and relaxing, but I think we could have partied things up a bit if we boozed it up like everyone else, but instead, we realied on eachother for entertainment, which ended up being very successful. JT is a goof ball and I love hanging out with him. We ate like total cows...especially me!! The food was fabulous, and you could order as much as you want for free... So this is how my conversation went with our waiter... "Good evening Miss... what would like for your appetizer?"
"I will have the Spinach dip and the Lobster rolls please"
The waiter replied with a surprised expression "OK, sure, would like the soup or the salad?"
"mmmm sounds good, I will have both"
"Ok...and for your entree?"
"yes, I would like the prime rib, filet mignon, salmon and can you just bring all the desserts, I can't decide.."
The waiter looked digusted as he brought my entrees one by one, as I demolished each plate. I told the waiter that I must be starting my period soon, cause I usually don't eat that much.. but he knew that was a lie when I ordered like that every night for 5 days in a row... MMmmm it was gooood!! (FYI, I really never revealed to my server that I was about to menstrate, that would be slighlty inappropriate... :)

Being a wife

So today, was really my first experience being a real wife. Since we have been married, we have spent every minute together on our honeymoon, and when we got home, we had a few days off work, and we just layed around enjoying eachother's company.
JT went back to work today for the first time, and I was left alone, at our messy condo... It desperately needing someone to clean it. I have helped JT clean his homes before, but of course he paid me to do it for him. Now, I no longer get that luxery. I am his wife, and I have another week off work, so of course it seems to be my duty to clean his... I mean our home, for free? GAG! Oh yeah, I am starving right now, JT will be home from work in 2 hours, and I guess it would be the wife thing to do to make pork chops, corn and mashed potatoes, but the problem is I don' t know how to cook! I would so much rather go out to eat. But that would break our new goal of saving money, and only going out to eat once a week. I think I may sneak over to McDonald's and unwrap all the food, and put it on nice plates, just like it was home made, from a very loving wife. I guess I asumed that when I got married someday, nature would help me find the motivation to be a good american wife. Yeah, so not true, I have to find that motivation myself.
But for the record, I like all the other wifey stuff.

Newlyweds

So We just got back from getting married! It is so freaking crazy! We sealed the deal in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was so beautiful, from the ceramony to the reception! It was so much fun, I can't wait to get my pictures back! We went on a cruise to the Bahamas, and Key West for the honeymoon, and that was so relaxing and great.
It is pretty fun to be married. I have this super hot husband, who treats me beyond great. I get to sleep next to him every night (thank goodness he doesn't snore). The whole cooking, cleaning, and being frugal with money is so foreign to me, so I can only hope I make a good wife :)
